I use this on both my camera and my 70-200 lens. Used with my other Manfrotto equipment it provides a secure hold for my equipment and allows me to quickly remove the camera when needed.
Bought this as a replacement for the one that I lost. This one fits but it is smaller and the lip that holds lokks flimsy. I would not trust this for vertical shots. Bought a new ballhead for my tripod.
There is not much to go wrong with this item. I just wish it lasts more than the original one.
all the Bogen stuffs are perfect for what they are designed to do.i have used their things for 20-odd years without any failures.
It's exactly what is advertised and works perfectly with my Manfrotto 725B Digi Tripod with Integrated Ball Head with Dove Tail Plate and Carrying Bag (Black). I keep the plate that came with the tripod on my Digital SLR camera and I keep the extra one I bought on my camcorder.
